Inversion questions: “Pourriez-vous… ?”, “Avez-vous… ?”

In a formal situation, questions are often asked by putting the verb before “vous”, joined with a hyphen.

Put the verb before “vous”, joined with a hyphen: “Avez-vous… ?”, “Voulez-vous… ?”. “Pourriez-vous… ?” is the politest way to ask for a service. Among friends, stick to “Est-ce que… ?” or simply raise your voice at the end.

Vous pourriez-vous m’aider ?Pourriez-vous m’aider ?

With inversion, “vous” appears only once, after the verb. Otherwise just say “Vous pourriez m’aider ?” with no inversion.
