Frequently asked questions

How are the dialogues organized?

+

The dialogues are grouped by theme — social interactions, shopping, work, restaurant, transport, administrative tasks, school and health. Within each theme they are ordered by level, from simplest to most advanced, so you progress at your own pace.

Which level should I choose?

+

Start with Beginner dialogues if you're new: short sentences and essential vocabulary. Move up to Intermediate then Advanced when you feel comfortable. You can also listen to the same situation across levels to see how it grows more complex.

Do the dialogues have audio?

+

Yes. Each dialogue comes with audio recorded in a Quebec accent, to train your ear for how people actually speak here — at the clinic, the bank or your children’s school.

Are they bilingual?

+

Yes. Each line is shown in French with its English translation, and useful vocabulary is explained. You grasp the meaning without getting stuck on a word, while keeping French as the main language.

How do I practise effectively with a dialogue?

+

First listen to the whole dialogue, then replay it line by line, repeating aloud. Spot the recurring expressions and add them to your flashcards. The goal isn't to memorize everything at once, but to recognize these phrases when you hear them for real.

Is it free?

+

Yes, everything is free — dialogues, audio and translations — with no ads or required signup. Create a free account only if you want to save your progress and vocabulary across devices.
