Visiting the apartment
Tomás visits an apartment with the landlord: the kitchen, the living room, the bedroom, and lots of questions.

Tomás cherche un appartement, et aujourd'hui il visite un logement dans un quartier calme. Le propriétaire, monsieur Roy, l'attend devant la porte et l'invite à entrer. Il y a un long couloir, et à gauche, la cuisine : elle est petite, mais il y a une grande fenêtre.
Tomás demande si la cuisinière est incluse, et monsieur Roy répond que oui, et le réfrigérateur aussi. Dans le salon, il y a un plancher en bois et un radiateur chaud sous la fenêtre, important pour l'hiver. Il demande s'il y a une laveuse, et monsieur Roy répond que non, mais qu'il y a une salle de lavage au sous-sol.
La chambre est claire et il y a un placard. Par la fenêtre, il y a un petit parc avec des arbres, et des enfants jouent. Il demande si le quartier est tranquille le soir, et monsieur Roy répond que oui, très tranquille, et que le métro n'est pas loin.
Tomás sourit, parce qu'il aime cet appartement. Il demande s'il peut réfléchir jusqu'à demain. Monsieur Roy répond que bien sûr, et qu'il peut l'appeler quand il veut. Tomás sort, prend une photo du parc et pense à sa nouvelle vie ici.

Tomás is looking for an apartment, and today he is visiting a place in a quiet neighbourhood. The landlord, Mr. Roy, is waiting for him at the door and invites him in. There is a long hallway, and on the left, the kitchen: it is small, but there is a big window.
Tomás asks if the stove is included, and Mr. Roy answers yes, and the fridge too. In the living room, there is a wooden floor and a warm radiator under the window, important for winter. He asks if there is a washing machine, and Mr. Roy answers no, but there is a laundry room in the basement.
The bedroom is bright and has a closet. Through the window, there is a small park with trees, and children are playing. He asks if the neighbourhood is quiet in the evening, and Mr. Roy answers yes, very quiet, and that the metro is not far.
Tomás smiles, because he likes this apartment. He asks if he can think about it until tomorrow. Mr. Roy answers of course, and that he can call him whenever he wants. Tomás goes out, takes a photo of the park and thinks about his new life here.
