“Moi, toi, lui, elle, nous, vous, eux, elles” are the pronouns used after a preposition: “chez nous”, “avec moi”, “pour toi”, “sans eux”.

After a preposition (“chez”, “avec”, “pour”, “sans”), “je” and “tu” are impossible: you use “moi”, “toi”, “lui”, “elle”, “nous”, “vous”, “eux”, “elles”.

Common mistakes
Viens chez je ce soir.Viens chez moi ce soir.
After a preposition (“chez”, “avec”, “pour”, “sans”), “je” is impossible: you need the stressed form “moi”. Same for “tu” → “toi”, “il” → “lui”, “ils” → “eux”.
Je aussi !Moi aussi !
“Je” only lives next to a verb. To answer in one word or to insist, use “moi”: “Moi aussi”, “Moi non plus”, “Moi, je préfère le métro”.
