Situation

You're sitting with a colleague in a small café near the office. It's the first time you really take time to chat together outside of work.

Culture note

In Quebec, talking about hobbies is a natural gateway to friendship — much more so than talking about work or salary. Asking « qu'est-ce que tu fais de tes soirées ? » or « tu as des passions ? » is completely normal, even with someone you barely know.
