Simon invites Thandiwe to a free concert in a park. She stops at the bookstore first, then the rain changes the plans.

Thandiwe travaille dans un café à Montréal. Ce soir, Simon lui parle d'un concert gratuit dans un parc et lui demande si elle y va. Elle répond qu'elle ne connaît pas ce parc. Simon la rassure : ils vont prendre le métro ensemble. Thandiwe sourit et dit qu'elle va venir.
Avant le concert, elle passe à la librairie, où elle y va souvent regarder les livres en français. Elle va acheter un petit roman et pense le lire dans le métro. À six heures, ils montent dans le métro. Simon dit qu'on y est presque, mais il pleut très fort : le concert est annulé.
Thandiwe est déçue. Simon lui dit qu'il y a un cinéma juste ici, et demande si on y va, car le film commence bientôt. Elle répond que oui, et qu'elle va chercher les billets. Ils regardent une comédie québécoise, et Thandiwe rit beaucoup même si elle ne comprend pas tout.
Simon lui dit qu'il y a un autre concert samedi prochain et lui demande si elle va y aller. Thandiwe répond que bien sûr, ils vont y aller ensemble. Dans le métro, elle ouvre son nouveau roman : elle va le finir avant dimanche.

Thandiwe works in a café in Montreal. Tonight, Simon tells her about a free concert in a park and asks if she is going. She answers that she does not know that park. Simon reassures her: they will take the metro together. Thandiwe smiles and says she will come.
Before the concert, she stops by the bookstore, where she often goes to look at French books. She is going to buy a short novel and plans to read it on the metro. At six o'clock, they get on the metro. Simon says they are almost there, but it is raining very hard: the concert is cancelled.
Thandiwe is disappointed. Simon tells her there is a cinema right here, and asks if they should go, since the movie starts soon. She answers yes, and that she will get the tickets. They watch a Quebec comedy, and Thandiwe laughs a lot even though she does not understand everything.
Simon tells her there is another concert next Saturday and asks if she is going to go. Thandiwe answers of course, they will go together. On the metro, she opens her new novel: she is going to finish it before Sunday.
