Getting to know people at a condo meeting

Situation

You're attending your first condo owners' meeting, in the building's common room. Before the meeting starts, you strike up a conversation with a resident you'd never really crossed paths with.

    C'est simple : le syndic présente les points, on pose nos questions, et on vote à main levée. Pour les gros montants, c'est parfois écrit.

    It's simple: the board chair presents the items, we ask our questions, and we vote by show of hands. For big amounts, it's sometimes a written vote.
