At a time when policies and regulations are in constant flux, we put the accuracy of information first — while helping readers pick up, along the way, the essential French administrative vocabulary they need to get things done.
Our editorial standard: rigour and reliability
We know there's no room for error when it comes to identity documents, taxes or immigration. That's why we hold ourselves to strict rules:
100% official sources
Our guides draw exclusively on the laws in force and the official platforms of the Government of Quebec and the Canadian federal government (Gouvernement du Québec, Revenu Québec, IRCC, etc.).
Continuously updated
We follow developments closely so every piece of information and every step reflects the latest policy.
A dual goal: get things done and improve your French
Our content is designed to help you complete your formalities efficiently while absorbing the administrative French terms that daily life requires.
Who builds this platform?
This project — its conception, its code and its content — is built and maintained independently by Fangfang Chen, a professional web developer based in Quebec.
This project was born out of my own experience as a new parent: while caring for my baby and juggling daily work, I also had to face intensive French learning and a maze of fiddly local administrative tasks. At first, I built a fast search-and-bilingual-reference tool simply so I could move through my language learning more efficiently and sort out everyday errands — without all that pressure and anxiety. Later I realized that countless people in the community, juggling family, work and study just like me, must be facing the same struggle. So I decided to expand it and share it openly, putting my professional skills to work for the community.
