How it works
Leitner System — 5 boxes. Each card starts in box 1 and moves forward one box with each correct answer — or returns to box 1 on a mistake.
Intervals — Box 1 → 1 day, box 2 → 3 days, box 3 → 7 days, box 4 → 14 days, box 5 → 30 days. The better you know a card, the less often it appears.
Syncing — When signed in, progress syncs automatically across phone, tablet, and computer. Without an account, it stays in the current browser.
Why such long intervals? Reviewing the same word several times in one day only strengthens the feeling of “recently seen”. Better to expose a forgotten word now than at an exam.
Which words to learn first
Follow your current errand
In the middle of a RAMQ application? Review only the words saved from the RAMQ guide. Context beats memorizing in a vacuum.
Everyday words come first
Greetings, directions, grocery shopping: the more you use these words, the further they climb in the Leitner boxes.
Review in batches, not marathons
Save words as you read guides or listen to dialogues, then review them in batches — it fits most people's actual rhythm.
How this differs from the glossary
Glossary = look up
Browse by category, search, read the full definition and examples — perfect when you're wondering “what does this word mean?”.
Cards = memorize
Glossary words automatically appear in the “All” and “Glossary” decks below. Don't know a word? Glossary. Keep forgetting it? Review it as flashcards.
